Our daily acts of collective worship play a vital role in the life of our school and this is where we come together to share what is important. As St Chad’s is a Church of England school, the acts of worship are mainly Christian in character. We observe the cycle of the Anglican year and celebrate the Christian calendar.
We invite Reverend Rod and his team from St Chad’s church to support our worship as well as Senior Leaders and our children leading on other worships.
We often visit St Chad’s Church for services and celebration of the Christian calendar e.g. Harvest, Christmas and Easter. Parents are very welcome to join us on those occasions. Beliefs and customs of other religious traditions are respected and valued and children from other faiths are welcome in the school.
Parents have the right to withdraw their child from collective worship. If a parent wishes to consider this option, Mrs. Johnson should be contacted.
We follow a worship timetable which Mrs. Johnson carefully plans with Reverend Rod and Lizzy – Children’s worker from the church.
Mondays- Reverend Rod and his team and Mrs Johnson- Worship Leader
Tuesdays- Worship Team and Mrs.Prime - Children volunteer on a rota basis to plan, deliver and evaluate their own worship to the school with the help of Mrs. Prime based on the theme of the week for worship.
